For one of its priciest smartwatches, which was introduced this year, Garmin has launched a new upgrade. However, v16.11, which has a ton of new features and bug fixes, is still in beta.
Not much time has gone by since Garmin released Software Version 15.33 for the Venu X1, which is now priced at $599 on Amazon. Following the release of Software Version 15.16 in November, the device’s second v15.xx update, Software Version 15.33, concentrated on bug patches, including one that can result in a crash when using Bluetooth headphones to play music.
In comparison, there are eighteen changes in Beta 16.11, including more than a dozen new features. Five of them enhance the Venu X1’s glance choices in one way or another, with the new battery monitoring feature possibly being the best. Garmin has also included new speech notifications and audio prompts, along with the Fish Forecast and Tides apps.
Once more, the business says it has included “several” bug fixes and enhancements. It hasn’t gone into much detail, though. Rather, the official changelog highlights several new features, such as the ability to activate color filters and training regimens that emphasize strength, cardio, and timed workouts. Please be aware that before moving v16.xx to its stable software branch, Garmin will probably provide additional beta releases.
